LEE The First Congregational Church steeple a beacon for travelers to town will soon glow again.
Church members are spending more than $90,000 to repair and repaint the tallest all-wooden, post-and-beam steeple in New England. The white spire to the 151-year-old historic house of worship is often the first structure motorists see as they exit the MassPike in Lee.
“So where are all the jobs anyway?” We keep hearing that there are all these jobs in the Berkshires, but where are they? I was shocked when I learned that at any point there are over 2,000 job vacancies in the county.
